As a child of the 20th century, I was seduced by baroque music. Like a 21st century performer, it still thrills me. For as long as I can remember—or nearly so—my flute has accompanied me in performing works ranging from Johann Sebastian Bach to George Frideric Handel, and—why not?—Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, who lived during the late Baroque era. Since June 2025, the alto saxophone has been expanding my musical repertoire with jazz, which inspires a desire for movement in me.
